Secret Santa,
without the hat.
Draw names in a minute. Everyone joins from their own phone with a code: no account, no sign-up. And nobody, not even the organizer, sees who has whom.
- Wishes, sizes and “please, no”
- Ask your person anonymously
- Gift ideas that match their wishes
Everyone at the same table? Draw on one phone
How it works
- 1
Start a group
Your name, a budget and the day. Ten seconds, no sign-up.
- 2
Share the code
Send the link on WhatsApp, or read the code out loud. Everyone joins with their name and a 4-digit PIN.
- 3
Draw and unwrap
Press draw. Each person holds their gift to unwrap their name, and only theirs.
The best part: unwrapping your name
No paper slips and no peeking. When names are drawn, each person presses and holds their gift, and it opens on their phone only. Try it.
Everything a gift exchange needs
And nothing it doesn’t: no accounts, no ads, and only the emails you ask for.
Secret for everyone
Even the organizer only sees their own match, so they can play too. The full draw is only shown if they choose to reveal it, after the gifts.
Join with a code
No accounts, no passwords. A code to get in, a 4-digit PIN to come back from any device, and emails only if you want them.
Wishes that help
Interests, “I’d love…”, “please, no…”, sizes. Only the person who draws you sees them.
Gift ideas from Truly
Your match’s wishes and the budget go to Giftruly’s gift finder, which suggests ideas that fit.
Ask anonymously
Coffee or tea? Ask your person without giving yourself away, and answer your own Secret Santa.
Couples kept apart
Partners won’t draw each other. The draw makes one big loop, so nobody simply swaps gifts.
Latecomers welcome
Someone joins or drops out after the draw? Only one name changes. No redraw for everyone.
The big reveal
Guess who your Secret Santa is, then reveal the whole loop on the day and send a thank-you.
Who’s ready
Everyone can mark their gift ready, so the organizer knows when to set the date.
One phone? Fine
Around the dinner table, pass one phone and let each person unwrap their name in turn.
Any phone, any browser
Nothing to install. It works on iPhone, Android or a laptop, and the link opens straight in WhatsApp or Messages.
Deletes itself
Groups delete themselves 30 days after the exchange, or when the organizer says. No ads, ever.

Questions people ask
Is this Secret Santa generator free?
Yes, completely. There's no account, no app to install and no ads. Giftruly earns a small commission when someone buys a gift through an Amazon link, which never costs you anything extra.
How do people join without an account?
The organizer gets a 6-character code and a link. People open the link (or type the code at giftruly.com/secret-santa), tap or type their name, and pick a 4-digit PIN. Their phone remembers them; their name and PIN get them back in from any other device.
Can the organizer see who drew whom?
No. The draw happens on our server and each person is only ever sent their own match, organizer included, so the organizer can play like everyone else. After the exchange, the organizer can choose to reveal the whole loop to the group.
How do I keep couples from drawing each other?
In your group, tap two names under “Couples and no-go pairs”. They won't draw each other in either direction. Add as many pairs as you need, and the draw tells you if the rules leave no fair way to draw.
What if someone joins late or drops out after the draw?
Just add or remove them. Instead of redrawing everyone, Giftruly slots the newcomer into the loop, or closes the gap someone leaves, so only one person (sometimes two) gets a new name. They see a note that their person changed.
Can someone without a phone take part?
Yes. The organizer can add anyone by name. They're included in the draw and can claim their name later from any device, or you can use the one-phone mode at the table.
What happens to our data?
Groups hold first names, wishes and messages, and an email address only for people who add one. No phone numbers, no accounts. Each group deletes itself 30 days after the exchange day (or 120 days after it was created, without a date), and the organizer can delete it at any time.
Does anyone get emails?
Only people who add their email. They get a link back to their group, a note when names are drawn, a reminder a week before and the day before, and a heads-up when someone writes to them. The organizer can also invite people by email. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe.
How many people can take part?
From 3 to 50 people per group. For bigger offices, split into teams with a group each.
